This is Christina L. Jensen’s apartment, a french paradise in Denmark. She likes to take her sister and parents to France and shop the many flea markets, where you can find the prettiest things for no money. What I like most about this home is the floors, ceilings and bare wall in the kitchen. The painting in the living room is Christina’s own work, which adds a lot of personality to the place. Höst restaurant by Norm Architects
Norm Architects did an excellent job designing this beautiful Scandinavian restaurant. By using using recycled wood, industrial lamps and modern design elements, they succeeded in combining the traditional Scandinavian coziness with minimalism. The tableware collection was designed especially for the restaurant. Reclaimed wood is used throughout the interior to create rustic yet contemporary atmosphere.
“We tried to see if we could find a balance where the interior, the dinnerware and the food told the same story, without it being too old-fashioned or too much of a theatrical backdrop,” said designer Bjerre-Poulsen.

Bright apartment with splashes of color
Look at this wonderful light filled apartment with lots of white and wood! Some playful and colorful accessories were added in the living room and kitchen to make the place more lively and personal, while the bedroom was kept very calm and quit. A perfect balance if you ask me.

Modern Kitchen with built in herb garden
There’s something about this big, light kitchen, designed by Steininger that you just have to love. This luxurious area with metal, wood and white panels and natural wood floors even has a built in herb garden with special lighting to make the plants grow more. It’s nice to have some fresh herbs close by while cooking, but it also adds a splash of green to the otherwise natural and muted room, which makes it even nicer.

Material Moods by Pia Ulin
Good morning everyone ! I though it would be a good way to start the week with these pretty material compositions from Pia Ulin. They look so calm and balanced, a good way to start the Monday (to me at least).
Shelf by Torafu Architects
I saw this shelf from Torafu Architects and thought it was quit interesting. It’s another product with a secret hiding place (as you might have noticed in my previous posts, I tend to like that). The small wooden cylinders contain a magnet. If you place the magnets on the right place of the shelf, you can pull it and the drawer will open. I think this is a very cute design.

Muted apartment by Natasja Molenaar
Muted colors fit the winter season coming up and make everything look soft. The grey and black complements well with the muted color of the floor ad bring out the details added to this lovely apartment styled by Natasja Molenaar.
White and bright Swedish home
Another bright, white home for you today, to start the week. By keeping some of the traditional elements that where inside the home, and mixing them with some modern design and art, this house feels clean, yet cozy and effortless. I just feel a breeze of fresh air, just looking at those picture.
